Tell me about owning a Bluesy

Local Ad has one, and its really been on my mind lately. First toe dip in the world of PM. Have other SS subs and GMT already.

You wont regret it. It was my very first love when I got into the Rolex world. Its THE watch that made me go WOW initially - no SS Rolex made me feel like that.

Love mine

One of the best dials in the lineup

Yellow gold scratches easier so it looses it charm until the scratches blend

It’s in my top 5 behind the vintage moonwatch, 58 and LVc but it’s a cracker

A great piece to complement your s/s models and always makes you smile when wearing it on those special occasions or not!
You will not regret going for the Bluesy it is a beautiful beautiful watch with tremendous wrist presence.

A superb choice. As above it has real presence. It lights up the room. It's flash, it's beautiful. Wear it with anything. I have owned mine and worn daily for two years, I still stare at it!

I’ve had mine just over a year after wearing a stainless sub daily for about three years. The blues and gold are really quite stunning. Ever so often I tire of the flashiness and throw my stainless sub back on for an extended period. Before long, the stainless seems a bit boring and I’m back to the bluesy on the wrist. It’s not quite as versatile in my opinion as stainless and black, but in a sea of black watches, it really does pop!

It’s a great choice! Shorts and t shirts or suit and tie. Bluesy does it all.

I've had my D serial 16613 for going on 13 years now. It's just a great combo of colors and flash. I don't think you will regret getting one. Cheers, Tim

I have mixed emotions on it! I owned for about a year and it just didn’t take. I treaded it for a black dial which I liked more. Can’t really put my finger on what I didn’t like but many here love it as I’m sure u will too

I wasn’t a fan of the flat blue dial. The sunburst blue is fantastic.

I was surprised about the sudden appeal of 2-tone after I unearthed my old 1995 2-tone Sub from storage. I tend to believe that there might be some truth to its upcoming resurgence.

A few years back I would not be caught dead wearing one.

Another pleasant surprise, it still keeps perfect time. Unopened and unserviced since 1995. Amazing

My first Rolex was a 16613 LB back in the late 80’s. Still one of my favorite models. I have the 6 digit version now and it still puts a smile on my face. Hard to describe how the dial reacts in different lighting but it is a beautiful thing.
Wears great with casual or business attire.

It’s a great watch - very versatile — lots of wrist presence....which is why it’s always been such a popular reference.

I have had one for about 3 years. A great reference. It has as much punch as a solid gold so you need to be sure you are ok with that.

I think it's a great ref but i try a 5 digit it's a little less tone down than the 6 digit.

The bluesy isn't just one of the best and most desirable Rolex watches ever created. It takes the crown for diver watches too. Get it before the price increases.

I have owned a Bluesy for over 18 years. I traded it for a LVc as I was moving away from TT and yellow gold. TT has a very particular look about it and can be polarizing. There is a strong opinion by many that it is a dated look as it was most popular in the 1980’s.
