A good weekend

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We’ve had a busy weekend with my son’s sports, football and futbol. We watched his team play football on Friday where he got an interception that he ran back for a touchdown and caught a short pass that he took in for another score. On Saturday his soccer team went up against an undefeated team and beat them 2-0. My son plays on defense and center mid. The defense was very aggressive and allowed only one shot on goal. Seeing the smiles on the kids makes it worth going to the 2 practices, scrimmage games and football practice each week. One thing that I really enjoy seeing is if a teammate isn’t doing well he will try to cheer them up and congratulate them when they make a play.

To celebrate, dad was able to pick up 12 bottles of wine to add into the wine fridge and setup his new grill.

Gratuitous wrist shot.

We enjoyed some bone-in ribeyes with wine. Decided to only use Choice ribeyes until I make sure I get the hang of the new grill.

Life is good. Enjoy the weekend TRF!

Looking at that grill is like looking at pictures of my kids when they were babies. Just sit there and say “I remember when mine was like that”. And am reminded that I need to clean the grill.

The steak was cooked medium and the portobello mushrooms were very good.

That's always the bad part, having to clean the grill.

Very nice! Enjoy.

PS, we have that same BBQ grill... it's been great so far.

I believe this is the only model and series still made in the USA.

Bummer.

Yes it was. I think I had the bigger smile.
We decided to try the grill a second time so went with some Prime NY strips since my son asked for shrimp.
