I am told that it is a Unicorn?

Unicorn? Don't think so. The dial is refinished which may explain you can't find another example.

This is a Rolex cushion case, which may, or may not, be a Unicorn.

Unicorn was a "badge" that could appear on any number of Rolex watches throughout the years.

To better track this cushion down you need to look inside and get some model and serial numbers, as well as the movement and you will know quite a bit.
