Is it really 'worth it'?

BTW this applies to many things materialistically in life.

My Personal Perspective: i'd gladly give up all this 'worthless cr@p' back in a 1000000th of a second to get my brother back (alive). i'd VERY quickly give it all up if it would end the brutal dictatorship we see in places globally and end the politics of oil.

Dare i ask, what would you give it all up for? Kinda puts things in perspective, maybe?
I deeply respect what you have written here. thank you.

You probably have the info already but for anyone else wondering, it's $16700.

I spoke to an AD today, who informed me that their showcases were empty. No ETA on two pieces I’m interested in.

I guess it depends on what you asked for. I spoke with my boutique contact and she told me that they lost one of their watch makers to competition and that will cut the rate of production for the Resonance in half for this year. My wife’s eleganté is scheduled to get here in Q2. My Havana Lune is looking like 2023 and 2024 for the Resonance. The rest are beyond 2024 and no real timeline.

Do all Chronometre Souverain watches come with a dial that starts with solid gold? I am looking to purchase one, but the dealer said it was not gold based, but silver since the dial itself is silvered. Looking up online, looks like CS and Octa had gold based dials since 2014. Wanted to confirm with folks who already own Journes.

Good question and worth of asking a boutique. They went from solid gold and numerals surfaces from the dial to applied without telling us. Would be unfortunate if they went to a silver dial now too. Leaving aside the fact they’ve increased prices substantially. I say this as a Journe fanatic.

Interesting news. Upon reviewing the website, the flat dial (formerly gold, non-guilloche) used to be described as “white Gold, Gold numerals surfaced with a diamond tool” (per Wayback Machine, June 2020 timestamp) and now it is described as “whitened Silver with 18K white Gold appliqué numerals.” This appears to validate ypnadkar’s info from the dealer. Would love to hear what you others who know more will have to say.

Had an opportunity to spend time with the folks at Journe again recently and they had some special treats. Thought I would share here.

The Astronomic was spicy on the wrist. The RQ is hard to beat in any configuration.

Hi friends. I have one FPJ that I purchased new a few years ago from a FPJ boutique. I'm not a flipper, but I haven't worn the watch much recently so I'm considering letting it go. I don't want to be blacklisted, however. Do folks know if FPJ has a policy around when it's ok to move on with a watch? Also, does anyone know if they track registration, etc. online when watches change hands? Since I bought from boutique, I never registered anything myself. Thanks.

Just ask directly at the source, since you may want to purchase another reference down the road. PM me if you want a contact at the Miami boutique.

I had a conversation relating to this with one of the boutique staff several months ago.

Yes, they do look at what is being sold online. They have seen watches which they sold up for resale online within a very short time frame and can tell who the seller is in those cases.

I asked them if I wanted to sell a piece to fund another Journe, how long would be acceptable before listing it. They told me if I owned the watch for about 3 years or so, that would be acceptable.

Many dealers can hide the serial and purchase date, in which case, for more common models like the CS, may not allow the boutiques to easily track them? I'm more curious if there's anything on the backend with registration, etc.

I would just contact the boutique where I got it from and ask them. Good luck!
