Is there a better Summer watch ?
I absolutely love the BLRO. It’s become my favorite steel Rolex.

What makes it a summer watch? The colour? Weight?

This?? But seriously, how does the jubilee handle sand? I prefer a fixed bezel during the summer; dirt and sand cannot get under a fixed one. Currently not an issue, I’m only poolside. |

The best summer watch is my Ulysse Nardin Diver. Definitely better than any steel Rolex Submariner in my opinion.

Superb BLRO, still waiting for mine. I think there might be a better summer watch, though. Ha-ha!

I suppose everyone will have their own view on what makes a summer* watch, or if indeed there is such a thing.
For me it’s a chunkier watch (wear it with short sleeves) capable of being used when swimming. A brighter coloured dial / bezel also helps. *I live in Scotland so I only have to worry about summer attire for about 2-3 weeks of the year |

I think for me that’s why there’s no such thing as a summer watch. |

Lovely BLRO, OP. For me, I've always associated the Bluesy as the classic Rolex summer watch (or full yellow gold, blue dial version). Just something about those bright colours.
Similar to how I regard the CHNR as the classic Fall watch. Again, those warm colours, caramel brown, black, everose gold, just suit the Fall so well.

Great BLRO - can't really complain about any SS Rolex in the summer.
In my opinion, however, a watch on rubber just screams summer. I can beat this thing up in and out of the water and on beaches, don't have to worry about dings or scratches on the strap or case (the case is ceramic) and it's a big, beefy guy that goes with everything. Hulk is a close second though with that bright green!

Best summer watch is the watch that gives off the nautical vibe in a casual way. Blue base
( dial) and silver/ white of the platinum. Beach city. Use your imagination….Blue Yachtmaster |

I'm enjoying my BLRO this summer and year round actually but there are a lot of great watches out there to wear.

Summer Watch for
me is the one I want to make it ”my ”summer watch on a particular day. But, some choices here I am going to refrain from commenting. A GMT is a year-round useful tool. That’s all.

Very nice. I was sporting its older sibling (16710) on the 4th.
