Breguet in Grand Feu Enamel dial just looks more elegant.......if you ought to go for simple dial, get the ALS

I think it really comes down to personal taste and fit. I like both but hate hate hate the lugs on these Breguets. I also feel like you can dress down thus ALS easier than this Breguet if that’s a consideration.

Between these 2 the Breguet. FWIW I have owned both brands in the past but still own the Breguet. seems more “special” to me, where I felt the ALS was a bit cold.

This thread needs more pics! As someone who owns both Breguet and ALS, I would choose Breguet here. Just a lot more character and "artsy", whereas the ALS is more austere.

Breguet all the way! I love Lange too, but in this shootout, I feel the Breguet would make me smile more...a lot more.

That blue enamel dial is stunning

Happy hunting!
Agreed. I had a ALS 1815, but it got a bit too boring for me and I sold it. Even the movement, while beautifully finished, was entirely covered by the 3/4 plate. But that Breguet, what a beautiful dial made with material that only a true watch connoisseur would appreciate. And the movement, which is based on Frederic Piguet 71 caliber but with all modern upgrades such as free-sprung balance and a silicon balance spring, is far more interesting than ALS' manual movement, IMHO.

Breguet for me. Head says ALS, but with watches, heart should always win.

I think you should go with the Breguet.

Breguet. If going with the enamel dial, have you considered the 5177?

The small seconds dial on the 7147 looked stunning on the guilloche dialed versions but seemed out of place on the enamel dials where it is recessed when I tried them on.

Is 5177 the one with the date? If so, love the blue enamel dial, but not feeling the date window next to 3.

The Lange has a better finished movement but I like the case and dial better on the Breguet, especially with the enamel and the running sub-seconds. If you've got the wrist for it, I'd go for the Breguet. However, if you were to throw the 1815 into the mix, I'd probably go with that.
