Thoughts on this 1675?

Guys, what does everyone thuink about this 1675? I'm looking for a solid watch/case/dial. Dont care about bezel (i like to change them) or bracelet.

But I'm not VERY skittish about being screwed. I have bought from sketchy people and bought from what i thought were reputable places, all stink.

I'm no expert, but externally it looks just like my 1978 1675. The dial and lume plots look good. The case has some significant dings on the lugs. It's too bad the seller didn't open the caseback and provide a detailed photo of the movement.

Here's mine (I had the RSC replace the Jubilee with an Oyster flip-lock when I had it serviced).

It's weird being the same age as old people.

Looks OK to me but if you're not comfortable with buying online your options are going to be much more narrow, you're in SF so one will likely come up locally...

Quick 1 minute look - it's long coronet Mk6 @ 1978 is about right and the one you are looking at doesn't look relumed.

The seller writes.......Condition - Very good - (Worn with little to no signs of wear) Original box, no original papers

I think the seller has some "wishful thinking going on" calling this watch very good with little to no signs of wear. Plenty of signs of wear and excessive refinishing/polishing as well as a box that is not "original."

Same on their site.

Another "trusted seller"?

Pawn shops don't tend to get very good examples, but go check it out in person, and if you like it, make a low-ball cash offer. In general, if you think that all sellers stink, then your only real option is to become an expert in your own right.
