VC Overseas or Moser Streamliner?

Need help! I am deciding between the H. Moser Streamliner green or the VC Overseas blue.

I know it's all about personal preference but I will eventually end up buying both I am looking for an expert opinion from someone who had experience with both or either of these watches (pros and cons).

Your advice will be appreciated.

I would think the VC is a more prestigious brand and the blue is a more versatile and easier color to wear than the Moser green.

My experience with color in watches is that white/silver dials and black dials are the best daily wearers and other colors like blue are next.

Green however I would tire of in a few days of wear. If you rotate watches a lot, that wouldn't matter much though.

If you plan on getting both, then it's just preference which is first.

Thank you so much for your valuable advice. This makes so much sense. About to pull the trigger on the 4500v. Too stoked! 🤩

If you’re planning on getting both, I would get the streamliner first. I’ve been told by two dealers that the green has been discontinued.

Moser for me (independant, likely retired model) but it’s really just a personal preference. If both, definitely Moser first. So, Moser.

There is likely to be an upgraded green rather than it being discontinued so I'd wait until the announcement.

Do you have both available now? If not, get the one which is here now first since you are planning to get both anyway.

Streamliner was sold a few days ago so I’m going after VC as of now. I’ll keep you in the loop. Thank you.

So it is meant to be for you to get the VC first.

The VC is nice, I like it as a low key sports watch. It is on the large side for me but on the strap, it is quite manageable. And if you have an okay size wrist, it would be perfect. Never handled a Streamliner before but I assume it will wear large due to the integrated bracelet?

The only common integrated bracelet watch which does not wear large seems to be the 5711/5712/5740 line.

It does not wear large. It actually wears small and is a compact appearance partly because of the thinness of the bracelet.

I have a 6.5" wrist and just tried the 15500 RO and it fit perfectly so assuming VC with a bracelet should be fine. Thank you. 😀

I recommend trying the VC if you haven't done so. It certainly looked large on my 6.6" wrist. Cannot compare to the 15500 but the VC looked a lot larger than a 5711 in my eyes.

The VCO is a great watch on the ruber strap but too big on the bracelet

I HIGHLY recommend you try on the VC. I have a 6.75” wrist and I found the VC just too large to handle on the bracelet. It overhung the wrist just slightly.

I now own the Streamliner and I much prefer the fit for my size wrist. I personally would not consider the VC again purely on its size.

Just measured my wrist 5 times and it's 6.75 not 6.5. 😂 also, thank you so much for the info. I can't find one near me to try it on. 😩

Pls also consider the wrist shape, which is at least as important as the size. A “flat” 6,5” wrist may host much larger watches than a 7” circular wrist.
Apart from that, if you already hold a 15500 (which in my view returns a much larger footprint than VCO, due to the RO bracelet size at lugs connection) you should be easily comfortable with 4500.

As others have mentioned, the Gen 3 Overseas bracelet spans out from the lugs. So it wears bigger than the stated case size. I would say that it wears more like a 44mm watch.

That being said, I am just not a fan of the Streamliner. As I've said many times in other posts, I just don't get it. But again, just a preference. Other Mosers, I would love to get my hands on. I really think Moser should make more tool oriented Pioneer models with dive bezels or timing bezels, full metal bracelet.

Tastes are so interesting. I love the case and appearance of the streamliner and would not want a bezel option or dive style myself. I like the refined aspect of it. I appreciate their govberg release which sounds like a hit but numbered bezels don’t appeal to me as a function but that’s just me.

Saw this a few weeks back in Vegas, I was blown away at how great it looked. The shape and curves are lovely! Pics do it zero justice imho.

But yes, personal preference. It definitely adds something different to a typical collection.

Do you have a wrist shot comparison?

This makes a lot of sense. I even tried the ROC and it fit perfectly.

That is exciting. I have never seen a streamy in person but everything I have read and seen online about it is just mind blowing.

Got used to this beauty real fast.. Getting lots of wrist time and so comfortable and light. Love the 40 mm case. Fits my 6.6 in perfectly. Still some left at Govberg in Philly.
