5512 Caseback variations
Hi All, I was hoping someone could chime in here regarding this particular 5512 caseback and if this particular version is year(s) specific? Ive seen this caseback on a circa 1972 sub and its different from the standard curved Montres Rolex style backs. Any input would be very much appreciated
cheers 🍺

Although the picture is not the best, that is a Service caseback. |

The engravings/stampings design dates from about 2005 onwards, so it must be a relatively recent service caseback as TimeToGo has stated.

Yes, service case back, at least post-1985ish, since its got the rugby ball logo that indicates the new-at-the-time upgraded 914L steel.

Thanks guys - very much appreciate the info. This now makes sense since the watch in question has had a total refurb with dial, hands & bezel..
