What’s the cheapest watch you enjoy that is non Patek?

Thought it be fun... Let’s see some wrist shots...

Ok now that we’ve figured out everyone’s new names...and whether a member is a guy or gal...let’s go back to watches.

So what’s the cheapest non patek that you enjoy for the moment?

This is mine... I picked this up on the secondary market cause it was sold out in 24 hours cause those damn flippers. I had bought this after I sold my explorer 1 on oyster flex to a good friend of mine. The explorer was actually one of my favorite watches. I did however wish it was smaller. So with one explorer out I bought another explorer. This time a Japanese one.

So this watch is a seiko alpinist it on a strapcode oyster bracelet. The quality is as good as any rolex I’ve had. The alpinist has a heritage that dates back and is essentially an explorer for climbing places like Everest. This is the blue version which was a hodinkee special... I don’t care for hodinkee typically but I did appreciate this blue dial which is a matte sunburst...

This is one of my favorite watches and it costs me $1k all in.

Here’s mine. What’s yours..

This is a fun thread!

Here’s my Casio Oceanus OCW-S100. It’s 100m WR that syncs time with the atomic clock through radio wave every night. Oh. It also in titanium and it’s a perpetual calendar with worldtimer function. It’s about USD 800-.

Nope. I actually wanted my first Rolex not to be a steel submariner date. Oh the regrets.

It has given me plenty of joy. I may pull it out and wear it.

I had an exact same watch a few years ago. My old boss, a well-known professor was wearing one, and I thought it looked very cool, so I bought one too.

Tag Heuer Series 2000 from graduation 1993 the most joy per dollar. Cheapest would probably be a Swatch that says “enjoy this minute” on the minute hand.

I bought this for a trip to South Africa. I expected to shelve it once I got back but found myself increasingly enamoured by it. Solar, world timer, radio-set, virtually indestructible... it's a damn damn fine watch and I find I wear it a lot.

My IWC Aquatimer, a really beautiful diver with such depth to the dial that other watches can't match.
