Submariner 16610 >>>>>>

I know a lot of people always complain about phone camera quality.. but I think with the new Iphone4 you can get very decent images...
What do you think...?

Are those with HDR enabled, or just regular pics?

Not bad! Just a little ISO noise but that can be cleaned with Neat-Image. Iphone4 is super

Not bad for a cellphone, I would say.

Some people try to tell you megapixels don't mean too much, but my observation is that megapixels are the bottom line, without which nothing else matters.

Cool. You should take some HDR shots, upload both pics so we can see comparisons.

So I took a shot using my iPhone 4. I wanted to compare a non HDR photo with an HDR photo to compare. Below are the results. Thoughts?

NON HDR

HDR

Really great shots,

I like the iphone 4 camera as is doesn't have the 'lag' when using the shutter.

I had a Samsung Omnia with 8MP that took an eternity to snap the pic,
hopeless

I have not used the HDR in the Iphone4.. does it take 2 or 3 pictures??? I have used HDR in my regular camera but with 3 images.
George? does the second HDR image you posted represent the actual colors more truthfully or not?

Honestly yes, looking at the bottle the HDR image looks more "real life" looking than the non HDR picture.

HDR saves 2 pictures in your camera roll. It doesn't take 2 pictures, but post processes the original with whatever algorithms Apple is using. Pretty amazing stuff for a phone camera if I may say so.
