Hang on to that piece.

You won't regret it in the long term.

If you want a new model, start saving.

If my dad give me a fake Rolex I would keep it in the safe and pass it on my children and their children. That's why I buy as many Rolexes as my children count. Each of them gonna have one from me when I die.

Can you help me? Please find attached some picture (also in Macro mode).
Genuine. The newer Subs have solid center bracelet links and a CNC machined clasp. Yours has hollow center links and the clasp is stamped steel commonly nicknamed the tuna can clasp. So yes, the older version Sub has a lighter feel than the newer version. I happen to own one of each, and while they both are Subs, they both wear very different. But I also like each one for what it is. Enjoy your father's watch and cherish it as a keepsake and piece of Rolex history.

If your dad says it. That should be enough imo.
