Easier to just purchase a new non cyclops crystal and have it installed IMO

Not sure why anyone would want to do this. I never realized the cyclops could be removed in this fashion. Pretty interesting nonetheless. Below is the URL to the youtube to the video I watched if anyone is interested.

I don't have the balls to do that! I would like to remove mine, but trying will probably get me into a situation I won't like.

The tear drop ar is under the crystal. Remove the tear drop and the ar coating over the date remains. You'll need to replace the crystal with a non tear drop one. At least with the modern subs.

Why would anyone do that? If you don't like the cyclops, don't buy the freakin' watch.

Thanks for the link Adam! I've always wondered about your Tudor and the cyclops. With it being at the 6 o'clock position, it doesn't mess with the symmetry of the watch IMO. I like it! |

Thanks Rob. Yes, in fact it balances the dial better with it added, IMO. Tudor seem to have stopped using the cyclops altogether, so leaving it off the THC might have been as much new company policy than reasoned design choice.
