The deal sounds about even, however personally I wouldn't swap my LV for a Daytona. I'd save and buy the Daytona, but the LV is special.

Guys. Found out the watch needs an overhaul as its running a bit fast and it's a 4.5 year old watch. They have quoted 500 so in reality it's adding 1700 as opposed to 1200

I will probably start a debate on this, but 4.5 years old isn't very old. I know that essentially the time frame that Rolex tells you it's time for an overhaul, but I have always been of the school of thought that the recommended service interval is a little premature unless it's a watch worn hard and every day... Having said that, the watch you are looking at may have been.
If you don't feel good about doing the deal, don't do it. Contact some of our trusted sellers and put together a trade deal if you really want a Daytona over the LV. I got rid of my LV and wish I never had. Sold it to pay for my Daytona!

Imo condition is key here.
Be sure to check it out thoroughly before you commit to any deal

The condition is key. Dings are undesirable, but not as much as having the dings polished out - which changes the shape of the case. It's a very good deal IMO. Black would be nicer - sorry to add more confusion |

RSC confirmed its +/- 1 sec per day and suggest an overhaul. Don't know if it's really necessary or if they wanna make profit, while the actual watch can wait. The case has never been polished and as far as I checked there were no dents and no chips on the glass. Also when RSC inspected it before Taking it in to the technicians the lady said it only had scratches from wear. I know I've been getting a lot of mixed opinions about this purchase. Some people say keep the LV as I'll regret the flip. Some others say black looks cooler! Well I must be honest I think both look nice and blacks command a higher premium. So it's all about whether to choose between a 9,000 v series white dial which RSC considers a need for service or probably a black dial random series 2011 for about 10,000

Go with what feels right! None of our opinions matter beyond hopefully leading you in an educated path. No matter what the decision is only about what makes you happy!
Big visual difference between the black and white dials.
