They are both great but I went with the ND because I like the balance and I have a cyclops on my BLNR. If I didn't have the BLNR it would be a tough call.
Good Luck! |

I prefer to have a date on my Sub, but the ND's sure do look clean.

I was in a similar situation but finally decided to go with ND. I am very happy the current model.

I like both, but prefer the date. Also, make sure it's 2.5x on the cyclops if you do get one - seems to be an issue of late with Rolex.

It's as simple as this: The Submariner has no date.
If you choose to have a Submariner with a date, then you'll have to buy a Submariner Date. I know this may confuse you, but it's as simple as it gets. A Submariner has no date.

In the past, I would have chosen the date model. But now, I am not so sure. Ever since the 114060 was released, the look of that watch has just grown on me. Also, taking into account the upgrades the the bracelet and clasp of the 114060, it by far surpasses it's predecessor.
With that being said, if this was your only Rolex, a date function may be the more logical choice, but I would still go for the 114060 because of the pure, simple and clean look of the watch.

Sub Date. I use the my watch to tell the date quite often. Plus I like the AR cyclops.

For me, I have two Sumariners, they are that awesome. When I want a date function, I wear a Yacht-Master, which is a very fancy Submariner Date.
