Day Date II: colour of the day date indicator wheel

I've noticed that in 99% of the day date IIs Ive seen around the coolour of the day date Indicator wheel for the day date II are stark white. While mine and probably 2 others I've seen are cream in colour. I've attached a picture. It hasn't got anything to do with dial colour as exactly the same dial as me I've seen white indicator as well... Haven't been able to find an answer as to why there's a difference

Not sure on new models but it did have to do with dial colour on older models.

On my ivory concentric dial DDII, both wheels are a bright white. I can really see the difference from the ivory dial to the wheels in the sunlight.

It's the p/n , just in case you want to order one.

3156 indicates the caliber then a ref# (there's many refs as all the day indicator are available in multiple languages).

Is the reference number a part of the serial number? If not than where can you find it on the watch?

A part number is a part number, not a serial number.

I don't know if/where you can find it on the Watch, but you find it on the packaging of the Day indicator Wheel when you order one from Rolex, and Rolex's AD find it on his drawer or in his computer .
