Thank You Tom. It's been a long journey ,I gave up for a while most I came across had brown dials with chipping on the minute markers. This is black with no chipping , it has the original bracelet and end links .

Gorgeous example and congrats after such a long hunt....makes this hobby a little more fun to search for the 'one'....regardless of the hands being replaced they aren't terribly different in color....she's a beaut.

Very nice - congrats! I'd leave the hands - why replace them with another replacement set, if the originals are already gone?

Beautiful, what a grail with great patina on the plots! I would love to see a collection shot, it looks like you have some very nice pieces.

Thank You all for the kind words, The best bit is I can wear this under the radar and not worry ,Unlike a Platinum Daytona or big Gold piece this is Stealth and so much more special ,
After taking Advice I may leave the hands alone. Then again if a old set did happen to come along that matched the plot colours I may be tempted. OK this is 50 yrs old and thats what I need to accept ,As HM said its a tool watch and will have been used , Cant argue with that ! , Andrew and Mike like it so that speaks volumes to me , Three of the best like it so I have to stop looking and enjoy it , I did order one off them new 43mm SDs on Wed to have that perfect red piece . |
