Trading Datejust 36mm for Skydweller

Hi Guys,

Could use your advice on this, I have a 2017 36mm Black Datejust diamond dial but I feel it looks small on my wrist. I am thinking about paying around $ 8000 and trading for the brand new skydweller white...any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

I think that would be a very wise purchase . Most dealers have gold ones or two tons that you can try on as far as size. I have a deep blue which is a monster almost too big but the sky dweller is just about perfect.

36 mm is just too small in my opinion. A sky dweller is on the bigger side but just about perfect. I have a deep blue which is a monster and considerably bigger almost too big. I think that would be very wise purchase on your end. Good luck!

In terms of size, unless you have something like an 8.5" wrist, it's simply a matter of whether you like vintage style vs. a more modern and trendy style. Conor McGregor wears a SkyDweller, while Ryan Gosling wears a vintage 34mm.

Geez.. $8000 on top of the watch? Datejust really don't hot initial value well OR are you paying a high premium for the Sky-D?

A combination of both I’m sure.

I'd rather keep the DJ and get another Rolex for $8k. Unless you must absolutely have the SkyD then go for it, but I'd rather add another piece.

That watch looks great on you, size wise, and I wouldn't call it small at all, but, as I mentioned above, it simply depends on your style.

For a DJ, 36mm is the perfect size.

Agreed. I don't think it's small at all

Looks perfect on your wrists. Better try the Skydweller before you buy. It may look like a frying pan on your wrist.

Do what makes you happy. That is all the matters in the end. Price, cost, and all that other crap doesn't matter.

As you chose the DJ36 so recently the look must have appealed, so why not a DJ41 if you now feel the 36 is too small?

DJ36 is classic, DJ41 will be a classic, are you sure about the SkyD?

BTW, my DJ41 is running +/- 0 seconds per... 3 months since I bought it.

Based on the pic I think that watch fits you well. The SkyD although is beautiful watch, will overwhelm your wrist.

You would be better to try it on first i think. A 36mm is always going to look different on the wrist to a SD, i don,t mind both sizes.

Paying a premium for anything that is still being produced is silly. Get on the list for a skydweller then when it comes in decide what to do with the watch you have.
