Noisy rotor
Hi everyone
This is my first post and I have a question about my Sub’s (16610) rotor. I have had this watch for many years and haven’t had the first issue. Recently though I’ve noticed that when I’m moving my wrist aggressively I can feel the rotor moving very quickly and if it’s really quiet I can even hear it I never noticed this before and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen or know why it has started happening. Still keeps excellent time so not affecting that, just bugs me. Thoughts? |

Probably a worn out rotor axle.

It’s definitely worth getting serviced, either by RSC or an independent you trust. If the rotor axle is shot, it can let the rotor grind against or hit other parts of the movement. Likewise if the axle actually breaks. Waiting could prove more expensive in the long run.

If you have had the watch for "many years" and it has served you well, time to service it and have worn parts replaced and new oils and seals.

If you want the service bill to be reasonable, then yes. If not, keep on wearing it and prepare to empty your wallet in the near future.
