Congratulations! Like you, I had my heart set on a Rolex, but my eyes are wondering over to Omega which is making the decision harder. I like the high tech and more subtle use of materials by Omega such as GSotM, but my wife likes the Rolex submariner.

Beautiful watch! I feel like if there are people calling these “fake vintage” in a derogatory manner, they are in the minority. All of these watches are amazing.

My wife also preferred the Rolex, but she didn’t get to see the Seamaster in person like she did the Submariner. I ordered the Seamaster anyway and after it came in she agreed I made the right choice. |

Congratulations! If it makes you feel any better, my first Omega arrived the day after I got out of my splint (three weeks of no showers due to broken foot + splint). Getting into a removable boot + my first speedmaster made for a great day. Then I realized a couple of days in that I was scuffing the clasp against my crutches, so have wrapped the uprights above the grips with white cloth medical tape.

Beautiful first "nice watch". You can't go wrong with an Omega.
