A Powerful Message

This gave me chills. And has a lot of meaning. Very powerful for anyone who want to listen to it.

Very interesting. Although, thank God I have never been gravely ill. I do try to live my life like the young woman describes. I have an isight that way.

I can actually tell based on some of our conversations and PM's. I am trying. I mostly do, but I definitely got a lot out of this note. And certainly it is a good reminder of what is important.

Yeah. I’m guilty it seems of most of the crap she says I shouldn’t. My mortality is coming into focus more in my life. I’m not invincible anymore it seems.

Ewing’s Sarcoma is a terrible disease affecting mainly teenagers as their bones are growing. We lost a young lady of 19 down our street recently to the same illness. It’s truly heartbreaking.

Seth, thanks for sharing that! What an incredible reminder on the fragility of life. Totally heartbreaking but also very strong and moving at the same time. So very sad and the only thing that has truly hit me really hard in relation to this was seeing children with terminal illnesses visiting an attraction in Toronto (the make a wish foundation). In fact, a visit to any children's hospital can be enough to bring even the toughest of individuals to tears.

So very sad to see this poor young woman going through this but I'm glad she got that extra year thanks to the donated blood etc. It certainly served as a strong reminder and makes me a lot less likely to take anything for granted.

It's sad. Very sad. Not sure why these things happen. Is it just bad luck or something else. I'm scared to die. But I've convinced myself that our bodies are hosts, and our spirit or soul will live on, regardless of how much time each of us are given.

Some of the things Holly has told us to do, I've been doing for a long time. However, reading her letter has made me realise that I need to do a lot more.

The best bit of advice in her letter which a lot of us would do well to take on board, including me (no, especially me!) is "Let all that shit go...."

Thanks for sharing Seth.

RIP Holly.
