Submariner 116610LN Certificate Card FONT STYLE?!
Hello
I am about to give up my GMT-Master II in favor for a Submariner 116610LN. I have only seen pictures of the Sub so far (will of course take it to an AD before I buy it, if I will). So when looking at the picture of the certificate card I find that the Font used is not the same font I have on my certificate on my 116710. On the Sub's card the font looks more like "Times new roman" (see picture below) and on all other cards I've seen, the font is more like Arial? cert1.jpg What do you think about this? The watch is sold from AD in Greece in 2012 I believe. Does Rolex use different font's, sounds strange to me if so. Here is a picture of the Sub anyhow. Does it look authentic to you? 2016-01-31 08.58.05.jpg IMG_3897.jpg IMG_3899.jpg IMG_3901.jpg IMG_3902.jpg |

Watch looks beautiful. I am not 100% sure about the card, but let me say this. Rolex probably makes and prints the cards in house so I could see different fonts used during different production times.

A lot of Greek cards curiously demonstrate the unusual font at the same time as other territories were using what we might consider the normal one. A mystery, but funny thing happen in the world of Greek Rolex....

I agree, the font looks a little funny...the majority I've seen seem to match ViperB's photo. And, I've never seen one from a Greek AD, so I wouldn't know about that.
But, the sub looks fine. Congrats and enjoy! |
