TRF’ers love many a model,
Each keeps time and are quite stable. Some are Vintage some are Newcomers, Mostly pristine but mishaps befell others. We show them in What R U Wearing, Thank you members for always sharing. Oh, Basel what will you bring us? New Blue Giants, or Super-luminous Supernovas. Maybe a Milgauss Meteorite Diamond Dial, That would resist even a Magnetar for a while. When I first bought Cellini gold,
I knew that I was truly sold on Rolex watches of all kinds particularly those you do not wind, The start of this arcane obsession whereby I strive for the possession of very many different styles with Platinum hands and meteorite dials that threaten ruin and divorce a sickness that must run it's course until I have acquired my grail a quest from which I cannot bail. It's critical that I be the owner of that SS white face Daytona!

Thanks DM, it's always easy
to write prose that's fairly cheesy. On the subject of Horology, I needn't make a big apology We are all equally afflicted, with the objects here depicted. We are of a mind as one the inmates, the Asylum, run.

I take a detour just for this MLK Day
Because this poet’s better than what I’d have to say... It’s not about a watch, but instead a mantel clock, Yet it’s like a watch that’s given up after a major shock. The Clock by Roger Turner - Jan 2015 we have a clock up on the mantel it's right just twice each day but, when you get to my age i guess that it's ok i don't need clocks to keep in time my body works for me i don't need hands on an old clock to tell me when to pee my stomach says it's time to eat the clock says ten past eight it's three hours off as i can see but, still ....i think it's great the clocks been there through seven kids four dogs, two cats, one wife it's no wonder that with all of that it barely has a life you can still hear it try ticking if you give it a good wind i'd hate to look inside it for fear of what i'd find the cuckoo clock i used to own went cockeyed, the bird died i couldn't get the cuckoo back no matter how i tried i figure now at eighty six that time has passed me by i used to be quite punctual i was just that sort of guy but, now the clock up on my mantel it's right twice...and i see it's ten past eight again my friends so...it means it's time for tea. Fun poem.
There's a thought - 50 years ago there were wall clocks in every public building, workplace and even some hospitality establishments, and they were (mostly) carefully monitored to ensure they were correct. I wonder whether the smartphone will see the eventual disappearance of these clocks along with fewer wristwatches.

A sorry sight - that Great White SD’s broken,
Never dropped - never dented - please awaken. Never Polished and never shined-up, Now I’ve given you a Padi-approved wind-up. Why, oh why won’t you keep pace? Every piece is perfectly in place. All I did was take a shower, Now into a low oven for at least an hour! Sent from my iPhoneX using Tapatalk

Some here are accuracy obsessed.
Other folks could not care less One second, two, or five or more it's not a goal they hanker for. If perfect time is your desire then Quartz will set your world on fire For some mechanical perfection is critical in their selection of Rolex watches of renoun to wear in country or in town although admired by those who know a timepiece isn't just for show but lasting wearer satisfaction for all we Rolex men of action, who see ourselves like 007 and find ourselves in seventh heaven whenever at our wrist we glance imagining there's just a chance to roll the dice in one more throw, kill Blofeld, Drax and Dr.No and sweep the Bond-girl off her feet whilst missing not a single beat. Just another Rolex tragic enjoying Submariner magic.
