***OFFICIAL__Rolex Diver and Dive Cert.

I thought it would be cool to see how many divers are on TRF. Post a picture of your Rolex and your dive certification.

I got certified in 2005 while living in Hawaii.

I have dove all around Hawaii and South Florida.

Went through the whole certification. On the last day of pool exercises right before the open dive which was the next day. I had an anxiety attack doing a mask off drill. Couldn't get past that anxiety after that episode. Had to quit. I wish i could of done it.

I know how you feel, that was one of the things I never got used to, having saltwater rush in my nose but still breathing out of my mouth.

Got my PADI Open Water certification in 1992. Continued on with the advanced courses and completed my Divemaster certification in 1995. Still love diving as much as ever.

I need to replace my card too. Sadly I sold my SD’s. But I love the simplicity of my 14060!

Certified in 1994 when stationed in the south close to the ocean. Came back to the midwest where there were only lakes and never went again. I have a friend who is a dive instructor and would give me refresher I just need to do it.

I dive mostly in Hawaii, and had a question for you 5 digit sub guys...

So on the 5 digit sub, it has a button in the clasp to get the extension. when that extension isopen, will it go over the wet suit on a firm fit, or would it be too loose?

I own a sub and dove once lol. I learned being hung over and diving is not a good mix. Let’s just say no one went near the water at the back of the boat hahaha

I can't find my card which is likely expired anyway. Received Open Water in '80 but the last time I used it was in '85 in Bermuda. Beautiful diving there!!!!

My 14060 is with Rolex NY for an overhaul, but here is another one from my stable that I love wearing. Also, the Master Diver written test was almost tougher than passing the bar exam...ridiculously difficult. The checkout dives also a challenge, but that exam...man that exam. I took it in 1997, and I still have flashbacks.

I got my OW cert in 1994, Advanced OW in 95, Master in 97 and a few specialties as well.

Better get your DAN card renewed. My experience with a few dive providers in Cozumel is that "liability" is not a word in their vocabulary. Have whatever insurance available current, and let your travel mates know you have it. Wear your DAN ID tag on your BC as well. Also, depending on the provider, rental gear is spotty. Great diving in Cozumel though!

I always knew it was challenging but never knew the test was that hard, great accomplishment love the SM!

You are right, always renew my Dan Insurance yearly before my dive trips. God knows but a trip to the decompression chamber costs thousands. Never planning on visiting one but you never know. Safe diving!

Anyone else that took it can chime in but there are not many recreational divers that go on to Master. Some will go to Advanced OW, but never farther than that.
