6609 Thunderbird

Very excited to receive this one, a 1958 Thunderbird with original black dial, stainless steel with white gold bezel, gilt and silver printing, and roulette date wheel. Very challenging to photograph!

Enjoy it! It's beautiful!

Adam:

That looks good. I bet it would be stunning on a vintage Jubilee bracelet if you wanted a change from the strap.

Very nice pictures, and watch!

*If you take the bezel off, and let a jeweler put it in an ultrasonic cleaner, and steam out the deep spots it will sparkle a little more. Of course you found one with very crisp details, and shouldn't polish it.

I'd love to find one of those in that shape!

77DJ has done some digging, and found a turnograph.

That's a good price for an 18K I think...Of course hopefully the dial isn't really brand new!

Here we go again! T-Birds are great for starting a collection, but I find them to be a bit more sophisticated than credited. Thanks!

6609 Thunderbird

I really enjoy the TOG’s, so much so, I tracked down the Tudor version too.

‘65 Rolex, ‘69 Tudor

My 1625 (1960 vintage) has Dauphin hands and claw markers.

Took a lot of research before I found one exactly to my liking.

No roulette date wheel unfortunately.
