why can't I pull the trigger?

I've been to a bunch of AD's recently, seeing a lot of inventory and a couple of good deals out there, but I can't seem to pull the trigger, not sure why. I keep bouncing back and forth between a 116710 (gmt IIc) and a 16622 (40mm ym). I'm not sure but I think I'm afraid that the minute I DO pull the trigger on one of those, I'll immediately start saving for the other lol, and I'm just not sure I want to do that.

eh, who am I kidding, I WANT to do that, it's just not feasible.

Both are beautiful watches and both are very functional for everyday life.

It's a tough choice, but I would suggest taking some time to define exactly what you expect each of those watches to do functionally, aside from any cosmetic consideration, and go with the one you are likely to find most useful.

I think that choosing the watch in that manner might keep you happy and you can delay the inevitable purchase of the other just a bit.

Take your time in making a decision. Both models are readily available so there is no need to rush. You want to avoid buyers remorse at all cost. Try to rationalize why you'd want one over the other and repeat until you come to a definite conclusion. My motto in shopping is "When in doubt...don't."

Maybe your instincts are saying you haven't made your mind up what you want to do . . . if so then waiting until you're sure makes sense.

thanks for the replies. I think the fact that there are isn't a shortage of inventory is making it easier to walk from a deal that I'm not 1000% sure of. it'll happen when it's meant to happen, that I'm sure of.

I have never felt even a twinge of buyer's remorse with any of my three Rolex watches.

I do feel some guilt for ignoring the one's that aren't being worn, but no remorse.

I'd never heard of an Explorer until the day I bought mine and I've been as pleased as punch with it.

I bought my DJ on impulse with no remorse.

The Sub was the inevitability that I knew would come sooner or later and there is definitely no remorse.

Most of the remorse I see expressed on this site is relative to selling, not buying.

Still, I would not advise against caution.

Never had that issue. Both are outstanding choices. You will be happy either way. Pick and pull the trigger. Enjoy.

Both nice watches however I much prefer the ceramic models to the older style ones.

But I prefer the old adage - "When in doubt", toss a coin

Get to the essence of what you really want the watch for,
If it's for water\leisure based activity then do the YM, or even get the better suited Sub.

If you want an unequalled utility watch then get the GMT 2 c

If it's for the beauty and you want something that keeps making you just look at it then get the GMT 2 c

If you want a GMT 2 c then get the GMT 2 c

Rather than toss a coin you could roll a dice,
Roll a 1,2,3,4,5 then it's a GMT 2 c
Roll a 6 - well then roll again
