NATO on yachtmaster?

I've seen plenty of NATO straps on Subs and GMT's but never on a Yachtmaster.
I bring it up because I have located a yachtmaster watch, head only as the bracelet was damaged. It's 2 tone with a slate dial and I was wondering how it might look with a brown or tan leather NATO.

Thoughts?

Plenty of pictures will show up soon enough...

I say go for it!

Found these from Google, various sources. Not bad!

But I'm not a huge fan of leather NATO's:

Great help thanks

Sure, it can be done but personally I think NATOs look better on Subs, GMTs & Exps.

Looks good on NATO--I would try a silver and red NATO though to really make it pop! Cheers,

For the YM I feel a leather band black would be best. Natos are for watches like the subs SD and DS . YM has a bling element which is good, but looks off on a rugged nato.

IMHO due to the unique shine and sheen of the platinum bezel it doesn't look good in anything other than its PCL bracelet. I find the YM head with NATO in the pics posted above appears out of place due to the prominence of the bezel.

Like I stated, the yachtmaster I'm looking at is tu tone so the bezel is gold with a slate dial.
I looked on google but could find nothing

The YM is a flashy Sub...i.e a more dressy watch. I don't think it would look good on a NATO, but if you enjoy it, go for it.

x1

Also, if the price of a new bracelet still costs cheaper than a whole watch, you still win.

I think that it would look good on dark brown leather rather than on a nato.

A lot of people here will say a Yacht-Master doesn't belong on a Nato (as if these watches come with rules), and while I agree it is best suited for the oyster bracelet, it looks awesome on natos IMO - and I've gotten tons of compliments as well so I'm not the only one. Enjoy

Was never too sure about the YM as I thought there was not enough contrasting it - with the black NATO on it though, It looks good!

I just got this in. It is made in particular for Norwegian watch enthusiast with our flags colors. Many of us will wear this nato on the Independence Day May 17.

Here it is on my 116622

I find it amazing of all the different lokks you can get with the YM by the different strap choices.

I think the Yachtmaster looks fantastic on a nice gator or croc strap.

Well would have never......

.....believed it but looks pretty good on a Nato.....actually like it better on the Nato than the PCL bracelet!

That black Nato really makes the dial pop.....always thought the YM's were just too bland looking but not on that black Nato!

I agreed the bracelet is too blingy and the YM looks great on leather straps or NATO.

the great thing about a nato is it goes with any watch... problem is, you just have to like a nato. i can wear one for a day or two but that's it.

YM needs to have the bracelet. A nato strap (and I am a fan of nato straps) just doesnt look right.
