It was purchased from the original owner with full set and is supposedly untouched but it looks like a Mk.IV dial which would be later than 1972. Thoughts?

Hello obstanto,

welcome to VRF and congrats to your 1675!

Yes, you are right. Serial 3.3 is a bit early for a MKIV.
Lookin' at the insert (service-insert) you see, that a (or more) service(s) have been done in the past. Maybe you'll find some service marks in the caseback.

Case and crownguards look real strong from what the 2 pics show.

I would trie to source a nice MKII or MK2.5 dial and in the meantime enjoy the watch how it is.

Maybe the pre owner/first owner did not notice that the dial and insert have been changed at a service. I'm quite sure that this case often happened in the past.
Nowadays we are looking soo close at details. In times the watches were only used to show the time, many owners did not recognize a dial change while service. They were only happy to get back a "new watch". ;-)

Well it finally arrived from US via Poland and is now with me in central Asia! It came with the original (or period) box and I have swapped the C+I bracelet for a B+S strap and it's fair to say it is getting a lot of wrist time at the moment. Very happy!!

Assuming full set includes all service records, they might contain some info on any dial change that took place - assuming it wasn't done under warranty.
