Icon20 Lost my Rolex Virginity to this beauty

Good day gents! Here's a little backstory to my latest acquisition and first foray into the vintage watch market.

I'm about to complete my final exams for college (this Sunday) and I had been saving up some cash for a short while from some tuition that I had been giving. I was interested in the Vintage Datejust market especially the 1603's & 1601's and had been reading up a lot about them over various forums online and had fallen in love with the linen dial.

This piece presented itself at a good price while I was in the middle of my final exams (which go on for a month) and I was unable to go down to see it then. When I finally went down to see it 3 days ago and called the owner on the way, he informed me that it had already been sold. Needless to say, I was crushed and started surfing the web for any other pieces that were available while I should have been studying for the final couple of papers this weekend.

I don't know if it was intuition or luck but I texted the owner again to let him know to let me know if he ever got another such piece in his possession and he informed me that he screwed up and thought that I was asking for a different model over the phone.

Needless to say, I rushed down yesterday, inspected the watch, found it all to be acceptable to me and here she is! Really enamoured by the quality and condition of this beauty from the 1970s. Will highly recommend them to anyone interested. The dial looks even better in person.

Oh well...back to studying so that I have a job in 2 months time....

Hahaha! I'll inbox you a bigger one

Love the linen dial. Wear it in good health!

What is the brand of the leather strap?
