1675 box and papers value?

Hey everyone. I am thinking about picking up a 1675 from the 70s with box and papers. Any idea of pricing ballpark? Assume good condition :)

Many factors to consider when pricing a watch set. Watch condition is paramount as well as parts found on the watch - namely - are the parts correct or original for the watch.

A true complete set adds substantially to the value.

It's like playing the game of pinning the tail on a donkey blindfolded......You need to provide pictures at the very least to get any meaningful #'s. Like Springer said, originality and condition drives the price and nothing is a constant....it's not like this watch has this so +100, this watch has that -100....it varies and sometimes is exponential when all the ducks line up. You need pictures to determine factors like originality of parts (case, dial, hands, caseback, bracelet etc) and condition (lug thickness, case condition, bezel condition, which bezel insert, etc).......

Full set with an average condition watch around 10k. Full set with a great condition watch 17k++. Really no stopping if condition is like new. Impossible to give you a more exact number. If you aren't sure on how to rate case etc; think lower. Great packages rarely surfices.

Good advice here!!! Forget the deals and buy something nice and one that is correct and you won't regret it later. I don't have to tell you how many times guys have bought watches or sets with replacement or incorrect parts only to "fork" out the money later to get their period piece correct. If they had bought a correct set or watch the first time, they wouldn't be out on the hunt beating their brains out trying to find correct hands, dials, inserts bracelets etc.

Nothing is wrong with replacement parts, but most of the vintage guys I know what their vintage watch vintage correct.

As I've been looking recently, apart from certificate which can be faked, you can buy the full-set to match anyway.

True, but not that easy to put together a correct full set. It's also very expensive and difficult to find the right boxes/manuals with proper codes, publication dates that match, the correct boxes/manuals for the specific market where the watch was originally sold, etc ... Some of these vintage manuals for sports models sell for $500-$700 alone. Also, fake certificates can be rooted out with proper research.
