Your right Lee !!!
In the side by side pic it does look slightly more pronounced
than the LB... Although separately the LB looks a little bigger ,
but only because of the fatter/wider lugs ... looks can be deceiving...

Good to hear Mick!
I took the plunge sight unseen and i can say it really is
looking and feeling better as the days go by ...
The proportions are fitting and the Ceramic bezel plus the
Glidelock clasp and divers extension just knocks
it out of the park !
My only quibble is the cyclops !
At least it has a date function but without the 2X Cyclops
at times it’s a little difficult to read ...

You made a good call! I really enjoy the proportions on the SD4K as well, and I love the way it sits on my wrist. Once I removed the diver’s extension, it fit perfectly, and the glidelock is incredible.

I prefer the SD4K’s sans-cyclops look, but my current second-favorite, which I am rocking today, has a cyclops. If I had my druthers, it wouldn’t, but I really enjoy the SD43 anyways.

<<< New SD4K Look !!! >>>

This is my grail. I love the thin lugs and crown guards compared to the sub, the fully graduated bezel, the raised crystal, the 40mm case and the date function. I think the proportions are perfect - just can’t afford one. Felt great on the wrist when I tried it on. This watch has driven me crazy every time I think about it and I was doing okay for a while until I saw this post. Anyways, congrats on buying the best Rolex in the lineup hands down imo!

The SD4K is really starting to become an itch that needs scratching
My brother in law has one and I’ve tried it out for size a few times, if he ever decides to flip it I want first refusal. I think it would be a great addition alongside my D Blue.
Congratulations on yours

Asked this on another thread and didn’t get a response yet, so figured I’d ask here:

I’m in the market for one but don’t have the opportunity to actually try one on before I buy. Concerned about the thickness of the SD4K - in comparison to the Sub/GMT how does the SD4K wear? Thanks in advance for the perspective - hoping you owners can shed some light.

Why does the SD4K looks so much bigger than the Sub?

Always assumed that both being 40mm diameter, they would wear the same, thickness notwithstanding.

Your SD4K looks awesome!

Congrats!

Like you I love the way my SD4K looks and wears on the wrist!

-Better proportioned than the Sub
-No cyclops
-4000 ft deep

Having tried not the SD43, it was just too "bulky" for my wrist (even though it was very well designed; better proportioned than sub)

SD4K is just perfect

I purchased the SD4K sight unseen . Never saw it or tried
one on. My AD said if i didn’t like it I could return it ...

I too was surprised that it looks bigger than the sub C
side by side ... still haven’t got it sized yet as i travel much
but will have it sized this week ... As far as weight, feel and look
I’d say it’s super nice . So , hopefully soon I’ll be able to
determine if it’s as comfy as the Sub or even more ...
Will let you know soon ...

I think it could be a bit of optical illusion as a function of wear the watch is witting wrt the wrist/hand. The SD is on a narrower part of the wrist while the LB is on the hand.

My favourite daily beater, more comfortable than SubC with its maxi case..

SD4K all the way
