After 30 years of dreaming .. I joined the club (5711R)
As promised ... here are the pics of my new 5711R... I literally feel like this will be my main watch now... I am afraid to scratch it but I will wear it often.
Bought from an authorized dealer who took a trade on a AP RO Chrono and cash for the balance... no discount alas but I don't mind. I was lucky to find one as every dealer I called (and I called many) said no way and some even laughed.. |

Glad to hear your dream came true! I have yet to even see one of these in real life, they are that scarce. Good for going after your dream, I would have done the very same in your shoes.
That brown graduated dial is second-to-none. You simply cannot put a price on the enjoyment I can imagine you will get out of that watch! Congratulations, Carl

congrats, the 5711R is a spectacular watch. great-looking, wears very comfy (at least for me), timeless appeal BUT....it scratches badly. you will have to get used to that. i try to think of the scratches on mine as a kind of personalization:::))))
