Flipped a Panerai 233 dot dial for a ceramic GMT...wish I had kept it and saved for the Rolex.
Many years ago (1995), I flipped my Tudor big block plexi crystal chrono for an E Series Rolex Submariner....I wore the Tudor in college, and after graduating, I flipped it for the Rolex. I think I paid around $1200 brand new for the Tudor...didn’t lose any on the flip. I would love to pick uo another someday. |

Acquired an unpolished Y serial LV with all boxes and papers, full set, from a friend. Sold it a few years back for a very nice profit, almost double what I paid for it. Wish I had it back as I didn’t need the money I still have an F and D serial LV.

Sure...but I've by and large learned from my mistakes. And fixed them.
I'm very happy with the group of watches I've ended up with. |

I regret them all. Mainly 116610 LV (I regretted this long before the craze) and my black steel Daytona.

Only real "regret" would be selling my AP 15300. Definitely sold some other watches I miss, but that one I regret..... :(

Yes.
My 114060. Not because it was my first, it’s just such a clean dial. Silly move. |

Went through a big (for me) flipping period a few years ago. The only watch I regret selling oddly enough is my Bathys PVD 100 Fathoms with a ruthenium dial. Don’t know why— maybe it’s just because I can’t find one anymore.

Happened twice for me. First time was a GMTII..sold it, regretted it, ended up buying another one a year later. Second time was for a DaytonaC. Flipped it for the monetary reward..but I regret letting it go. What an amazing watch

Been switching my watches around since 2000. My thought is I can’t own them all at once but I am trying to own all of them once. YMMV. :-)

It’s the exact same watch I regret selling. I let mine go for $7k just a month before it was discontinued. Prices went crazy after that.

I flipped my BLNR back in September after almost three years of ownership. I don't regret it, not for one nano-second.

My first ever, 16610. Wish I had it back.
Quick story. About 2 years ago I was a close to flipping my 116610LV for a D-Blue. Takuya had one lined up for me. I was scheduled for vacation with the fam and a day or two before leaving Takuya let me know it might a while before he could get me the D-Blue, and really couldn’t give me an accurate ETA. I told him no prob. I went away and happened to find a D-Blue at an AD while on vacation. I decided to just buy it, and sell my LVC when I got home. (I did let Thanh Do know I found one immediately btw) Owning both watches at the same time was one of the best things to happen to my perspective on watch collecting. I realized after owning the D-Blue for a week it just wasn’t the watch for me. The LVC was and is still my favorite all around watch. It’s the first Rolex I ever bought myself, and it’s a life long keeper. Plan to give it to my son (bought it his birth year). Anyway not saying I’ll never flip again, but I’ve certainly learned to make more calculated decisions. Really trying not to flip much anymore. |

Regret selling my birth year 16760 "no date" dial. Sold it about ten years ago for 4k CDN so that I could purchase another Breitling Super Avenger.

I traded my TT Ceramic GMT for a D serial 16710. I grew tired of the TT. I have no regrets. I am loving my 16710. It has become my favorite piece in my collection.
