Preference? SS, 2 Tone, or solid PM?

My evolution on watch preference has gone from 2 tone, to solid PM to SS.

Any strong feelings?

From PM to SS?
I was always thinking once you are on the PM road this would be a oneway road

Then you have come full circle from a Demi-God to an Immortal Greek God and back on becoming a mortal human being.....

Daytona TT To SS To WG

Subc. TT To WG

GMTc. SS To WG

I prefer the look and weight of steel. I’d really only ever consider PM for a dress watch on leather, but I rarely need a dress watch.

TT has never been on my radar.

TT is 80's to me, but millennials like the 80's so maybe that explains the TT comeback. I prefer silver-toned PM like WG or PT.

I guess it depends on which Greek Gods. I am having a hard time with the image of Thor and the bling of a diamond dial.

The appeal of watches for me is a tool, and SS feels tool to me

Started with SS (5513) when I was 19. By early 30s, I graduated to TT (16523) while still enjoying SS from time to time, until I bought my first PM (116505) some 5 years ago. PM gets my preference, however I find myself wearing SS more and more these days - lighter and more comfortable on the wrist (for me, at least) and not too flashy.

Uh...Thor was a Norse god, FYI.

And I could totally see him with a gold sub, just sayin'.

A diamond dial next to his mighty hammer?
That could be interesting

All PM all the time. I don’t really have a desire for SS watches at this point.

Thor isn't greek or roman, he is nordic. You're thinking of Zeus perhaps.

I like them all but the allure of PM is not lost on me. Hard to state preference for me as price plays into it- one pm vs. 3 ss etc. Could probably change my mind every day.

I've worn and will continue to wear and enjoy them all (Stainless, TT and PM) but in all honestly I just prefer stainless steel.

Could also be older generations handing down these TT through inheritance, etc.

Not a fan of TT except on the 116613lb. Other than that, prefer steel.

I prefer steel but if I ever went PM it would be WG or platinum. YG does not suit me.

I like two tones albeit I don't have any at all currently
I used to think these would make one look like gold watch wannabes but I don't think that applies here

I really like the Rolex in steel but if I had the money I would only use PM, a Submariner YG and a DD YG. It would be extraordinary.

Don't you just hate it when a literate member notices something like this?

Obviously, I need to reread the classics.

Ok, how about Zeus, he would definitely have worn a stainless no date sub right?

Zeus is definitely more of a gold president reference. Poseidon DSSD. Thor Milgauss.
