These two are very nice! I hope to pick up a Y series 16610 tomorrow and I'll definitely be putting leather on it.

I would no more put a leather strap on my Sub than I would wear my wife's heels.
For those interested in leather or skin straps in general, I cannot recommend John Glance at Dangerous9 highly enough. I have a few of his straps for my PAMs. http://dangerous9straps.blogspot.com

I love love love oyster bracelet, but I can always put it back on. I like to play with my watch, it is an accessory that allows you to change the strap then you can not do it!!, leather, nylon, rubber or what provokes me. Is my watch and I enjoy it very mucho!!!

To the owners of the modern Rolex I say, in my opinion, it is not true that the Rolex with thin lugs (5 digits) look better than the modern ones, nor sneak, it is not true, it is only nostalgia in a past way. I'm an old man, but on my wrist the 116610 is the best.

What is your favorite leather strap brand on a Submariner?

I really only like my 116610 on the bracelet or Oysterflex, but your leather and NATO look good? What brand are they for both? |

I would choose a leather strap with rubber insert, definitely not with an ardillon buckle but with a deployant clasp.

Just my opinion, but I think the lugs on the new ceramic subs are too big to use anything other than the oyster bracelet. I have a ceramic no-date sub and a 1675 GMT, I love the look of straps and NATOs on the GMT because the smaller lugs help pull it off, but I keep the sub on the oyster.
