Gift/Memorabilia from AD for purchasing a Rolex...

In terms of Rolex Memorabilia, can I get your thoughts on whether a Rolex leather Key chain will have value in the future? When I purchased a watch from an AD he was kind enough to gift me this awesome leather key chain. When I came home I put it away and forget about it.
A few months later when I was cleaning my closet I found the key chain again and was curious to learn more about it. When I went to google it, I was shocked that it was going for $200+ on the web. Thanks in advance.

Dude, anything unusual and Rolex issued will bring in the bucks. Seen some people re-selling Rolex branded chocolates for $50. You get 6 pieces. Crazy.

The Rolex giveaways are generally good quality items that are priced as such. Future value, sure, as a keychain , a pretty nice one.

I would love for people to post which gifts they have received from their AD’s when purchasing a Rolex. Might be a good idea for a thread as I’m sure Rolex has an extensive list of gift items to choose from. I have gotten two hats and a pen but I’ve seen a lot of nice items out there.

Love Rolex watches, they’re reliable, tasteful and durable. And I enjoy wearing them everywhere, but I have no desire to provide free advertising in the form of caps, golf balls or key fobs.

I have the green plastic Rolex twist pen and to be honest it’s pretty junky. It’s just a cheap plastic pen. Plus, it came with a blue ink cartridge. Who does that?

I like Rolex swag. I think Jocke has the collection to beat. I have hats, pens, coffee mug, etc.

I don’t think the price will change. It will probably remain around that $200. If you did want to sell it and not keep it, you could use the money to get a strap for your new watch maybe?

Wife received a Rolex mirror not long ago, in a nice pouch. Made of 904 steel. I had never seen one, or heard of one. We must post a pic of it.

I haven’t been given any Rolex swag — but my AD has always sent me away with a little something to take home...

I feel cheated. I've never scored any Rolex swag. When I got my LVc, they gave me Breitling and Cartier jewelry cleaner, cleaning cloths and some little cloth gloves.

I know right @ blue ink... they couldn't have put blank ink which is more universal?!

I asked for freebies when I bought my first Rolex last week and the AD told me they didn't have anything in stock for me... but they would let me know if they ever receive goodies to give out.

Value will be a few hundred dollars give or take a few years. If you want it, use it, if not sell it or gift it to someone who wants it.

Swag can sometimes just be like the watch itself but on a smaller scale. People will pay ridiculous prices for something that says Rolex because they cannot just buy it right off the street. Almost just like when people pay inflated prices for the hard to find sport watches.

I have only gotten a Pen and it went on eBay about 18 hrs later. I had no need and I am glad people pay 225 for a pen. All I saw that was a 3% discount from the AD lol.
