Rolex service Center UK vintage Rolex question

Hello All,

At RSC New York they want to replace parts on my watch during service. I prefer to keep all parts on my watch original. I've heard RSC in London will respect this and not change out parts. Can anyone confirm this? Can I send my watch to them from USA?

Thank you in advance

Afaik every RSC I've visited only does local work, they do not accept mail ins nor ship out.

They'll accept work from non residents no problem, but you'll have to pay & collect in person when it's done. Or arrange to authorise someone else to do so on your behalf.

What parts are we talking about? Plexiglass? Bezel? Internals?

Why on earth would anybody want or need to send a watch from the US all the way to the UK for servicing when there are so many superb options available in the US?

Please enlighten me?

Did you read my post? The RSC in NY wants to change parts out during service. I want my Rolex serviced by Rolex but don't want parts changed.

Just hitup Rik or Vanessa! By all accounts their work is on par with RSC & you'll probably get better service & turnaround too, not to mention taking heed of your originality wishes.

Just because you may be a little wet behind the ears and think you're a bit of a Hot Shot, doesn't mean others here can't read or comprehend the written English language. Despite the generation gap.

Your original post was sufficiently well constructed.

Now, to the matter at hand.
I refer you to tamiya's response and suggest you do yourself a favour and start asking some more questions as required.

From my experience.
There's absolutely no requirement to send your watch to the UK in order to get what you want.

Further,
Depending upon the age of your watch.
A Crystal change may be a requirement in order to guarantee the water resistance of the assembly.
So be prepared to modify your expectations.

RSC St James Square are absolutely fantastic I highly recommend them. Book yourself a little holiday and get it done while overhere.

I don't think I'm a "Hot Shot". I'm the furthest from it I came here looking for advice which others have given me. I have found it helpful and will look into their advice. You gave a rather snotty rude response in both your posts. I don't understand why you did this, maybe you have misunderstood something.

St James RSC take some time with their service, 4-6 weeks at least.
If you are here for that long then no problem. Otherwise you may be better off using a recommended watchmaker in your area.

They quoted me this for my Sub a few months ago but it was ready in 4 weeks.
