AUDEMARS 15710ST WHITE DIAL OR Black DIAL

Hi all

Just a quick question I’m going to be pulling the trigger on an AP offshore diver I keep hearing that the White dial is rarer then a black dial?? Does this have an impact on purchase price?

Which one should I go for black or white dial?

What is a good price to pay on one mint, boxed and complete?

I’m still searching just want to know a good price range I should stick at?

Thanks in advance all!

MWAS

HAPPY HUNTING AND WEAR IN GOOD HEALTH.

I just paid about 14k US for a black 15710 from 2017 with 5 yrs warranty from grey dealer so I believe that is a good price point. White dial is less popular from what I know. If 2016 or earlier I would try to pay closer to 13k as it will not have 5 yrs warranty etc.

I bought the black. I prefer it. Buy the one you like the most. It’ll hold good value regardless of colour.

You get the 2016 White Diver with a blue crown and blue insert which goes for about US$18K - US$19K used. That one is definitely more rare and comes with the white strap.

The normal white dial with the black crown / black insert around the dial is around US$16K.

If you're looking to resell the black will definitely be easier to move down the line but the 2016 version will go for a higher price and is more rare.

Seems the silver/white dial diver with black accents has been discontinued...

Slightly incorrect!

It’s a silver dial with black accents which is now discontinued, the white dial with blue accents and white strap is a boutique only and a current model.

I would never get a watch just because it is rarer especially it is just a dial choice on something like a ROO Diver. Technically all the colored versions are rarer too (and frankly cheaper when it is preowned).

Go with what you will be able to enjoy the most. Or your typical attire.

Hands down the black looks better to me.

For me it had to be the black dial.

The white seemed larger on the wrist.

It's an amazing watch - you won't regret it

Thats a very good price especially if it was in very good condition, no scratches etc

This, I am looking at getting one for my collection. New are about 19,000 and used ones go for 13,500. In almost mint condition.

Got to be careful whether its 15703 or 15710, big price difference. I've seen several posts on chrono even that mislabel them. If you dont mind the closed case back and some minor issue with the seconds hand on setting, the non-stamped dial of the 15703 has more work put into it (likely done away in 15710 due to the open caseback - anti counterfeit measures)
