Tudor GMT on C&B Chevron nato

At the urging of this forum I purchased a Crown & Buckle Chevron nato strap for my Tudor GMT. I was set on buying the Tudor OEM nato but everyone on here seemed to love the Chevron straps. For $32 figured ok I'll give in and try one of these first before throwing down ~$230 for the Tudor strap.

Well I'm not easy to please when it comes to aftermarket straps but you guys nailed it on this one. This is a fantastic premium single pass nato. Nice and thick, high quality, fits perfectly. The adjustability is a big plus. The end of the strap is nice and reinforced to prevent fraying.

Love the color for this particular watch. This is the "Night + Crimson" color so they combine black and navy blue in the fabric which gives a really sharp dark blue vibe. Works really well with the muted navy (sometimes almost black) color of the top half of the bezel and the red stripe is a pretty close match for the red half of the bezel as well.

For $32 this is a steal folks. If you are looking for a Tudor strap give these guys a try. And thanks TRF for saving me a ton of money in the process.

You would also like the Obsidian and Syrah for that watch. I have both and swap them out for cleaning. O and S is closer to original Tudor. Both are excellent!

Edit: Just to be clear, I'm talking about the 2 tone Obsidian with Syrah stripe.

The Blue/Gold from C&B always looks great on a black watch.

I have NEVER had an issue with anything I've gotten from them...

Their NATOS may look like the "Cheaper" NATOS but some cheap guys use crappy hardware that breaks. Thin/Poorly woven Nylon that frays quickly....

The extra few bucks on a Strap that holds a $5000 watch or more to your wrist, is worth it.

Great looking combo, Mike! One of the best out there for the BB GMT.

Looks great! Gives the Tudor a little spark.

Are you still thinking about the Grand Seiko?

I've recently discovered it's more cost effective to add straps rather than watches

So for now I'm just going to stand pat with the Tudor.

Great combination this, nice one. Always amazes me how a nice new strap can give a watch a whole new look and lease of life.

I agree with you. Got it a year or so ago and so one of my favorites. Compared to the Tudor version, I find it similar or even better quality wise.

I agree and this watch more than any other one in my collection really works with so many different straps and bracelet. Really looks great on anything. Same watch but different personality with the strap changes.

I tend to agree on the quality. It's right up there with the Tudor OEM. The only things missing are the spring bar pockets. But not having those allows you to get the buckle totally centered. So far no issues with the watch moving around on the strap. Had held nice and tight.

Great picture by the way

Looks great!

On a side note, is it just me or do C&B’s NATOs appear thicker in width on the wrist than average?

??? Not sure I understand the question

This watch is a 22mm lug width so this strap is wider than most. I assume 20mm is the most common size. There is no taper to the buckle either.

Is this what you were asking?

Glad you liked it.
I never used the spring-bar pockets on the OEM either. The watch never moves on both straps.

Exactly. It’s like wearing a new watch every time I swap a strap. They go so well with Tudor’s models and they are so simple and secure to use.

Ha! This place has that effect. Congrats, it's a really cool watch. Very useful and toolish and can be worn in any situation. And as shown it is amazing in sooooo many different strap combinations.

Great suggestion and the fit is perfect (even for an 8" wrist). I really like the blue/black weave and the red on this is a better match IMO than the OEM Tudor strap.

Cool, glad you are happy with it

Totally agree that the color of this strap is a better match than the OEM strap for the GMT. The Tudor strap is much darker, close to black. The blue on this works better and like you said the red stripe is an excellent match as well.
