After seeing the price, I would not buy this. A stainless version with the same movement would make me very happy.

Well, I just got the call.

The Platinum 321 has arrived and it's on hold awaiting my visit to the OB.

Things just got real.

I would buy it if the cash was burning a hole in my pocket. No question.

Had it on my wrist....its presence can't be described. The weight, the color, and that gorgeous onyx dial.... It's like staring into space.

Sadly, the OB and I couldn't reach a deal.

However he did call me yesterday and sold me this Ed White.

What an awesome OB!

What kind of deal were you looking for on the platinum 321? Were you hoping to get a discount?

Congrats on the Ed White.

OB offered me 5% right out of the gate....I asked for 12% (the tax).

Still hoping we can come to an understanding.

Guess all you need to do is decline a platinum piece and a 321 appears

My guess is that he's developing a relationship with a potential long term customer.

And he's right.... all my future Omega purchases will be via his boutique.

I walked.

So I've been looking at alternatives, but nobody will take my money!!!

You would think that AD's would be happy to have a customer with $100K burning a hole in his pocket?

Nope, not at all. Waiting lists everywhere.

I even found a 321-Platinum used locally. The shop wanted top dollar.

Who knows, I may weaken and head back to the OB.... and enjoy some humble pie.

Fair enough!

It's a pain when you want something but you just can't agree a price you are comfortable with.

I've got an appointment with the OB tomorrow morning to see the 321-Platinum again.

I'm getting myself mentally prepared.
