The '7' corresponds to 7 micro seconds.

Accuracy check

Update;

After 72 days of running on my wrist day and night my 300m is less than 1 second fast. I'm not looking forward to the time change this fall. I would like to see how many years it takes to be a minute off.

My favorite watch of all time........ So far. Still have a soft spot for the Breitling SO 42's. My nephew sent a picture the other day wearing one I gave him. Brought back memories.

I have no complaints about modern Omega movements either. The 8800, 8900 and 9900s are all fantastic in the seamaster range. Glad yours is running so well, impressive stats!

Yes, I'm very impressed, even more so with this watches ability to resist scratches. I have not been easy with it.

Now, if my DeVille will come back from Omega running anywhere near this good a will be happy. Then on to the search for my speedy!

Mine runs about 4 seconds fast which IS in the range BUT, not super accurate..

If you wear yours all the time and it's consistently +4 spd. You can have it adjusted. Slow it down by 3 spd. My AT 8900 was -.5 and my PO and speedy date was +2. 41.5 SMP chronograph was +1. Easily adjusted to what suits you.

My 300m diver 8800 runs about 4 seconds fast also. I have two 8900 planet oceans that run +0.2 and -1. Did you look up your chronometer test results? Mine were spot on.

I can't speak to the Seamaster you are referring to, but my METAS Speedmaster is averaging +0.4 seconds per day. Remarkable!

My 8800 runs fast 6 to 7 spd if I leave it face up overnight. It'll gain 5 sec just overnight. 2 to 4 spd any other position.

Why are some losing seconds? Metas spec should not be losing any time.

Something is bad wrong with your movement. I can not get any of my Co-Axial (8500 and up) to vary more than .5 seconds overnight no matter what position there in. Have it checked out.

Nope it's within spec confirmed by email. Look at your certificate on Omega's website. 0 to 14 spd is the deviation of precision in 6 positions.

Maybe, but for a 8800 that is certainly not the norm for a average daily rate. I have 2 older chronographs, both with the 1164 movements. One is .5 fast per day the other is +1.5 per day. The latter has not been serviced in 13 years.

For it to "gain" that much time overnight is not right. Take it to a omega AD and have them check it. Again, that's WAY out of normal running for a 8800. I could not stand it if it was mine.

97 day update

After reading this thread, I decided to check the time on my 300m again. It's been 97 days since I have set the time. It's now -3 seconds overall. That's a average of 0.0309278351 spd slow. Close to my 8900 in my AT 41mm. So VERY consistent movement.

Watch is worn 24/7 and only removed for cleaning. Lately (past month) it has been put on a winder at 650 TPD for the weekend as I swap out to enjoy another. I have not noted any appreciable loss or gain with it being place on a winder for 48 hours.

It is normal that 0-14 spd is straight from Omega's own certificate. I don't leave the watch face up overnight. Problem solved.

Just check my 8900 43.5mm PO. It's new so still not settled in yet. But after 3 days looking like + .5 like the 8900 AT I have.
Typical Omega for me.

Which movement do you have ? Out of 6 different watches with 8500, 8800, 8900 movements I NEVER had one vary that much no matter what position it was in. I have tried and the most extreme deviation I could obtain was about .5 seconds.
Sounds like a balance poise issue. I would definitely have it checked out if it is a Metas movement.
