This or that?

Hello fellow members,
So I wanted to share these two next to each other and was wondering which do you prefer and why ?
All comments are appreciated.
Thank you.

My opinion is the Daytona is actually better looking. I own both brands so just my opinion!

AP, tried on the 38, serious watch. In my opinion its a level above the Daytona. Bracelet, dial, plus it has a date.

Not very smart asking that question on ROLEXforums.com

AP chrono is far superior to any rolex.

i think the AP scores points on fit and finish, the bracelet, and the truer panda effect. but loses a little for the placement of the date window. the daytona certainly scores for its classic looks and icon status. in the end, i'd choose the modern AP and opt for a vintage daytona.

I like the AP a bit more.

Ask me a year ago it would’ve been hands down Daytona, but the AP just has more depth and uniqueness to it with the colors and texture of the dial.

Daytona’s aren’t built badly but the AP is probably a little finer build quality as well.

The AP, but not that size. Cause its got a date and I can't stand watches without dates.

If it's the AP41, I'd possibly lean toward AP. Such a cool watch. But I still love the Daytona.

Daytona. I’ve had the 15400 (not chrono) for 7 years. While it was a great watch, it stopped working twice during that time. Once from clapping hands, and the second time for gently tapping on a ketchup bottle.

Might sound ridiculous but it’s true and actually had to go into service both times $$. It shows that AP’s are not built for daily wear. Just not as robust.

So my advice is to buy AP as occasion watch, it looks like a piece of art and the finish is amazing.

For a steel chrono, a potential daily, I’d always go for the Daytona.

I prefer the Daytona. I appreciate the AP but have no experience with the brand or the model.

AP purely on looks and finishing alone.

I posted a similar thread but comparing it to a WG 116519 daytona. If steel daytona, AP ROC by a wide wide margin. Not in same league

The AP is the better watch in terms of finishing, but for readability and everyday use, the Daytona wins

I'm not a fan of any three handed AP let alone this one. Unfortunatelly to my eyes it looks overdecorated and in the end hideous, so Daytona by a very large margin for me but a black dial would be my choice.

The AP is the better watch, and a much less "obvious" choice.... BUT that 4:30 date position is hideous. For that alone I'd go for the Daytona (and I'm not even a Daytona fan!)

definitely the Daytona over that specific AP. There's a bunch of AP i would take over the Daytona but not that one.

Daytona looks better. I've just never found any AP that I was really fond of. Blasphemy I know...

Out if these 2 I like the AP with that date option and the bit if blue on the dial. But if it was PM Chronos head to head Rolex looks much better

IMO only

If you looking for a chronograph - AP without question. Like other said, a different level. However need to consider it is more fragile.

If you are looking for a Daytona then it’s the Daytona … it is way more robust.

Finally, depending on price of acquisition.

PS - I do have a Daytona. I just need one Chronograph and would have chose the AP over the Daytona.
