Newbie Here. Great to see a "BEAST"- Not enough being posted. Mine is also a
"D", #45X, with the glass lid case. Unfortunately I'm a "tech illiterate", and will
probably never be able to post a pic. Next year being the 50th anniversary of
the Royal Oak should be interesting for all AP RO & ROO collectors.

Hi! Quick question - since your's is #45X, does it have the old style clasp (which is like the 5402 clasp, solid) or does it have the new clasp, the one that is hollowed out?

Getting back to you-- sorry for the delay!
My "BEAST" D#45X, has the precision machined bracelet clasp with the AP engraving,
not the version as is on the 5402. Also the bracelet screws are short and screwed in
from both sides.

OP - be careful looks like the rubber under the bezel will not hold up against water, consider having that replaced asap
