How readily available is the BB58 Boutique Edition?

Good morning,

Still considering the Tudo BB58 Boutique Edition and was wondering what people’s experience was with their local boutiques.

Is it readily available for walk-ins or is there a wait?

Do not have a local boutique here in the States, so would potentially have a friend pick it up in Canada or wait till travel opens up.

You mean the 18K model? The bronze version?

I expressed interest to my SA on the day it was announced, got it two weeks later. So, it’s not readily available for walk-ins, but the wait was short for me.

He said boutique edition, so that means the bronze.

I went into the Tudor boutique in westfields in London.

They were happy to take my name and quoted me 6-8 months.

The SA in downtown Toronto AD didn’t even know about the bronze edition. I went to the Tudor event and had to educate her. And that is a big AD!

6-8 months is not bad. The current near 100% premium on chrono24 isn't justified for a wait of this length.

Did you mean RdV? RdV is a Tutor AD, not an official boutique. Try Raffi at Yorkdale, that's where I bought mine.

I went to the same store on Saturday and they had one in the window... I didn’t enquire, so can only guess it was for show and not for sale.

Yea I was at RDV for the Tudor event past weekend. End up purchasing BB58 Blue on bracelet as it was a fresh arrival! Couldn't resist!

Have to stop by Yorkdale coming weeks. Thanks.

Still love my blue one. It’s being all the time especially during the summer.

Congrats!

So you got yours in Toronto? Might have to give them a call…

How do you like it in person?

I love it! The size is perfect, and the new clasp with micro-adjustment works well. I've had it for a week, and the "air side" of the watch still looks more gold than bronze while the skin side has started to develop some mild patina.

It wears a bit heavier on the wrist than a steel watch, but not as heavy as a full gold piece. Heft-wise, it feels like it is between a 36mm DD and a 36mm steel OP. I have had no skin reaction to the bronze whatsoever. No green ring on the wrist either. It's just a fun casual watch.

Very cool, already got the BB58 in both blue and black (think I trade the black one), they got a bit less wrist time after I got a Rolex GMT, but now it’s back again for the summer.

Got an old Mercedes 450sl in off-white with brown interior and think this would be a fun watch for when taking the car ;)

Thank you. I have the BB58 Black for 3 years and now the Blue.
I am usually not the person to get the same watch in different color dials but I made an exception for BB58 as they feel like a different watch when I wear them for different settings. Also the historical connection for each color is there. And besides you can always wear one on the bracelet and throw the other one on a rubber or nato right?

You seem to be on a roll.....Black, Blue and now Bronze?
Hope you get your bronze soon.

I'd think if Tudor wants to make one of its watches the halo watch with artificial scarcity, the BB58 bronze could be a candidate.

What I'd like to see as the next boutique edition is a 18k gold BB58 with full brushed bracelet and the updated clasp. It'd need a non-green dial (perhaps blue?) to differentiate it from the standard 18k BB58. Price it just below a 36mm DayDate and it'd be very compelling.

Another (cheaper) idea for boutiques is a Marine Nationale Pelagos.

There aren’t many actual boutiques around.
Do you have one near you? I had heard the USA do not have any….

Still, could be that they prefer to sell to locals. And your name on the list is just that, a name on a list.
