Lost my only chance..

...of getting a snoopy. My local reed's (30 minute drive) omega ad had the brand pulled from their store. I'll find out more details during my next visit. I was to recieve the first one they got. Appears omega is taking a rolex approach on snoopy (which is sad for us who are not resellers/flippers) and I will never pay resale for this watch. Fortunate to have a great rolex ad (that appreciates true hobbyists and not resellers) in another state, and a collection I love and mostly acquired when this hobby was fun and i could see watches in cases at ads. Oh well, on the bright side my money is safe from omega as I already have the 2 i prefer the most.

Same thing happened to me, my ad refunded me and canceled because they had no idea how long it would take. Then I bought my 007 seamaster at my boutique and they were able to get me on their list. Said maybe 1-2 years. So I'm a bit hopeful. lol

My AD refunded my deposit as well same early this year. I’m still on their list just in case along w a boutique 2 hour drive away. It is what it is w the snoopy.

Hate it for you guys, guess I'm just getting old but no way would I wait that long either, happy with the 1 Rolex and 2 Omegas Ive owned for 15 years.... I'm done. :)

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully another door opens. If you have the patience, maybe try getting with your closest OB and explaining your situation to date.

The watch is sold only through the boutiques IIRC, so it makes sense the ADs are all refunding. Makes you wonder if Omega is trying to cut all the significant discount options, or make them less desirable places to shop.

It's a very cool and fun watch...a 2 year wait watch...no. But to be fair I'd never wait 2 years for any watch.

There are so many great omega watches readily available...go grab one of those!

Thanks everyone for the comments. If only boutiques get them, I don't feel quite so bad that I lost my 1st place with my local ad. I already have apollo 8 and smp 007 le, so I'm good with omega for now. I would have loved a snoopy though for contrast and my autistic son loves snoopy as well. Oh well, I suppose omega can play their games with that watch.
