I have been off the board for quite some time but in killing time on internet, I saw my SS White Daytona, 116520, I paid 9.5k for 8 years ago is worth mid-20's, is this correct?

My insurance will only cover up to $15k without appraisal so next week I am taking to dealer to get appraised by independent appraiser.

Also my wife has a 26 INCH 18K WG ROLEX LADIES DATEJUST STYLE # 179174. JUBILEE STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET # 63130. DIAL IS WHITE WITH DIAMOND MARKERS.

Has her watch increased as well or anyone guess approx. value?

Thanks

I thought they were overpriced at $12k let alone at $20k. A steel watch for $40k it’s just Royal Stupidity.

Dating yourself. Those Timexes are now 20-30 bucks, and like 40 years ago many are pretty damn reliable and nice looking!

Got a bit of flak for buying from a grey a fair few years ago. People here around the time was also saying the bubble was about to burst.

Now the UK grey price is nearly double of what I paid a US grey back then

Actually the RO are going for close to 60! Just tried a SS RO chrono on that was 5 years old and they were asking $59

You might want to check your math there - $13.2k * 1.05^10 = $21.5k, not even close.

It would depend on how much more hype is generated by things like so called social media, as today Rolex watches are little more than ££$$€€ objects to many.

This is almost a silly point as few are even available at MSRP.
