Very cool. Congrats! I'd be excited to get that text from Cody, as well.

One day in and I'm still having to wrap my mind around the fact that they called me for this watch. I am a small fish in a pond where people have much more $$$$ and purchase history.

The longer I've been into watches the more meaning I look for in a piece. My only other Rolex in my tiny "collection" is an SD4K. I've mentioned it before on TRF, but I wanted that watch not only for the asthetic and where it falls in the SeaDweller history, but also because it was introduced in 2014 (year my daughter was born) and discontinued in 2017 (year my son was born).

I was able to find an example from March 2017 (purchased after it was discontinued) which is his birth month and year. It'll go to him some day. But now what piece for my little girl...

The 126710 GMT Master II Pepsi was meaningful to me for two reasons:

1) The very first GMT Master II was introduced in my birth year, 1983. Shout out to the other geriatric millennials on the forum.

2) The very first GMT Master II with a Pepsi cerachrom bezel was introduced in 2014, daughter's birth year. Only I could never afford a PM watch.

Fast-forward a few years and finally, a GMT Master II with a Pepsi cerachrom bezel I could maybe afford! Only at that point it's basically unobtainium.

Pretty cool things worked out how they did. Lucky in this climate to have two meaningful (in my eyes) Rolex pieces I can enjoy today, that will stand the test of time and only appreciate for my kids tomorrow.

It's happening

Congrats man. I really dig the oyster bracelet on this…would take it over my jubilee BLRO TBH.

Also glad to hear someone’s getting watches at that AD. I’m originally from Omaha and split my time between there and my main residence in NYC. Tried to shift my business to Gunderson’s and have had zero luck with them, have found them super off putting even with some jewelry purchases (albeit not large ones).

Also tried to sell me a badly scratched up Pelagos at 100% retail with an offer to polish it. Had to have been either returned or just very badly handled in the store. Just odd.

Fortunately my NYC AD continues to get me a decent number of watches so shouldn’t complain!

So you've been waiting roughly 3 years for this? If so, did you just periodically stop in to say hi over that time or what? I used to live within walking distance of their store, but moved away a couple years ago. Recently contacted them about getting a piece for my brother's 40th bday next month (he still lives there) but not holding my breath...

I waited 3 years. I'd been stopping in here and there since I moved here in 2012. Didn't request anything until the Pepsi in 2018 and just kept dropping by to see what they might have on display and chat once in a while.

I've been in when they had stocked displays before things got crazy and with the typical empty displays we're all used to now. I wasn't holding my breath either and so it was a true surprise. A month is a really quick turnaround, not sure what you're in the market for. Good luck though, you never know!

It would've been funny if the SA had an actual Pepsi can waiting for you as a joke.

That's initially what I thought when I read his text. It was like 100 degrees here that day and I thought he was f'ing with me offering a cold soda. Took me a second to realize what he actually meant.
