16622 or 16600 or 16610

I've had a 16710 and a 16622 in the past. The first was my first ever Rolex which I unfortunately had to sell to put a downpayment on a house. I did have a 16622 for a while after that which I loved as it was so comfy to wear. I ended up needing to sell that one as well a few years back. I'm finally in a position to get another Rolex again and I'm contemplating between the 16622 or a 16600 or 16610. It's going to be a watch that I'll be wearing all the time. What bothered me about the 16622 is that the bezel is so delicate...
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would pick the Submariner, it’s a versatile watch, timeless and super comfortable.

Yeah I loved the black bezel on my 16710 so that's why I think the Sub would be great too. However the Sea Dweller you don't see so much which might be a good one too for that reason maybe...?

Go with the SD 16600 if you know you would scratch the bezel of the YM 16622. I've been wearing my 116622 a lot in 6 years and it looks like new. The 16610 is just another Sub, good watch but nothing special IMHO.

I love my 16600. It has the aesthetics of the sub, no cyclops, and that little bit of uniqueness that makes it special.

The 16610. I mean the SD is a great watch but it’s heavier, more top heavy, more likely to flip and flop on the wrist without wearing it tighter, unless you plan to saturation dive. If not the sub is the more comfortable and versatile watch.

The YM, is a nice watch, but the sub is an icon.

This. Although the lack of cyclops is nice on the SD. But the cyclops can easily be removed on the sub if you don't like it.

Keep in mind that the HEV is really not any sort of advantage though perhaps an interesting talking point. It only serves a function if you are living in a saturation diving habitat breathing air in which helium/hydrogen has replaced some or all of the nitrogen and under high pressure. When decompressing the HEV allows the lighter gases to escape the watch without causing the crystal to pop off.

16610, more comfortable than 16600, but you can't go wrong with either.

Yes and the helium valve comes with an extra 2.5mm thickness. Funny though however folks are very forgiving of 14+mm when Rolex is on the dial, not so much when tudor is on the dial lol.

Haha! Not getting any easier. Anyway at least I’m down to the 16600 and 16610. I tried a bunch of AD’s for a new one, not sure why I even bothered lol. I suppose the 16600 is a bit on the heavier side so I’ll take that into consideration. Thanks y’all!!

My own personal choice would be a 16600 my favourite all time Rolex, not a huge fan of the cyclops date window on subs. The SD is a great watch and a real working tool watch, mine is from 1999/2000 and has had a hard life, with well over 600 hours underwater. But its been serviced and polished by the RSC in its hard life and will keep ticking for decades to come. As for the weight difference Sub around 135g SD 147g and not really noticeably on the wrist.
