I just spoke to the Rolex ceo and he confirmed they have discontinued the blnr. He said Rolex doesn’t like successful watches so it had to go.

- Where did you see the Master Catalogue?

Thanks.
Master catalogue is for AD only , is annual , and describes the exact actual collection. This catalogue in its 2018/2019 version is actually arriving at AD, some have it already and some not yet.

The catalogue distributed at Basel during the show, and that will be available at every AD very soon (UK and Germany already have it), is a limited view of the annual collection, and is freely distributed to all customer or prospect who ask for it ...

I got the opportunity to have the 2018/2019 master catalogue in my hands recently , and I can confirm (again) : Gmt2 LN and BLNR are both presented in this catalogue , page 87. Ask your AD if any doubt persist, as soon as he receives it ...

Here my own Master Catalogues collection, Rolex and Tudor , then my standard Rolex customer's catalogues ...

Are you asking us...or telling us?

Either way, this thread is a tale of two tales really...a Cinderella Story if you will... it’s an enigma wrapped around a mystery!

Thanks for the clarification. I still don't understand why Rolex would distribute an incomplete catalog to ADs, since that would seem to be a source of misunderstanding and misinformation. But if that really is all that is going on here, this thread has been one extended wild goose chase.

Yep...it’s true! I’ve got a reliable source stating the same thing! Only, you’re missing one key detail...the Shite Gold release will not in fact be on an Oyster Bracelet! In a reverse type move of the new SS Pepsi, the White Gold BLNR will be on a White Gold Jubilee!!!

I can’t wait until Rolex utilizes their ‘OysterGold’ reserves....since they seem to have already discovered a completely new metal with ‘OysterSteel’. Pioneers in their trade, yes indeed

There a 69 pages of DJ combinations on the Rolex website. They don't all show in the catalog handed out to customers. But all the orderable permutations are in the master catalog.

When Alpino posts, I read carefully. He is always correct in his information.

The thing that was throwing some of us was that the Professional section of the Basel catalog had every watch except the LN and BLNR GMTs, which made it seem like it was more than just a brochure of collection highlights. Strange it should have omitted just those two, but it is what it is. If they're in the current Master, that should put the matter to rest.

I've recently spoken with the janitor at my local Rolex chain store AD, and he told me that he found a secret correspondence from Rolex HQ in a wastebasket stating that the BLNR will only be available in a DSSD case with the James Cameron dial, and an upside down blue/black bezel to match it.

MSRP in the US will be $18,500, and the watch has a new and improved jubilee band that matches the new DSSD case.

Must be true, right?

:)

Disagree, they come across so different. Especially once Pepsi is no longer the new thing of the moment for the gotta have it crowd. Colors on the new pepsi are ghastly.

Yes, and everyone on that Twitter account is asking them what their source of information is.

Ok...Just a note.... Talking to Betteridge in Greenwich Ct. Was told that they are not able to order BLNRs any longer....Is it true? I don’t know...that’s what the AD told me...I hope not because it’s on my short list and I (won’t) can’t afford the pre-owned and gray market prices.

Interesting - probably an error rather than a scoop then. It seems it's not clear what the non-Pepsi GMT2 situation is at the moment.

I commented that they 'deserve to have people unfollow them, for trying to garner a sale by peddling misinformation'. The post was deleted 5 minutes later.
