Proper Bracelet for a 1.9mm 6240 Daytona

What is the proper bracelet for a 1966 6240 Daytona and where can u find a good selection of minty examples? In addition, is there a good vintage bracelet dealer in general?

Also...what modern bracelet would fit either a 6240 or 1675 GMT to use for more frequent wear? Thanks.

I'm thinking ...

.... it's probably a 7205 rivet bracelet with 71 endlinks that would be strictly correct for your 1966 Daytona 6204.

And I'm thinking the '71' endlinks may have been peculiar to the Daytona, they are eagarly sought by vintage Daytona owners, difficult to source and command a silly price nowadays.

You ask about alternatives so if it helps .... in my experience the 20mm bracelets don't interchange between models so well but the 19mm bracelets are much more forgiving. I don't have much knowledge on modern bracelets but there are several vintage options that could be a happy fit for your 6240.

Certainly PM me if I can help further

Paul is correct, a 7205 rivet with 71. A 6635 was the stretch rivet cousin, but I don’t recall seeing 71s on a 6635. Would work also I assume.

Or jubilee with 64 ends if I recall correctly.

Modern bracelets for the GMT 1675 would be an Oyster 78360 with 580 end links or an Oyster 93150 with 580 end links. Additionally, a Jubilee with the 50 stamped last links with 550 end links will fit the GMT 1675.

74 or 49 ends for jubilee on a manual Daytona. 64 are 20mm oyster ends.

The modern option for the Daytona is a solid 78350 oyster with 571 ends. Or a solid jubilee with 574.

Thanks for correcting me...I knew it had a “4” in there! I should’ve taken more time on my post!
